The Story of Majestic Athletic

If it happens in baseball, it happens in Majestic.  You will see the Majestic Triple Peaks logo on the left sleeve of every Major Leaguer on every team in every city.  Just like the players, we earned our place as the official uniform of Major League Baseball.

Our story began in the 1950s, when Mary Capobianco endeavored to open her own sewing mill. After working in the booming garment industry of Bangor, Pennsylvania, she realized she could work just as hard for herself, and get much more in return.

She started with women's clothing, mainly blouses. Maria Rose Fashions, as it was then known, served well-dressed women from coast to coast.  It was a far cry from athletic apparel, but it demanded the same attention to detail.

After learning the garment business first-hand, her son Faust Capobianco, III, followed in her footsteps. In 1976, he founded the Majestic Athletic you know today, almost. The spirit was there, but we hadn't made it to the big leagues. Yet.

That happened in '82, when we introduced our first Major League Baseball batting practice jersey. And the relationship grew in '84, when we signed our first MLB National Licensing Agreement, which let us bring fans the high quality apparel they needed to truly show their team's colors.

Since the beginning, our philosophy has been simple. We create the highest-quality athletic wear with a commitment to heritage, craftsmanship, and authenticity. And we do it in the quick turnaround time our customers need.

And even though we hit the big leagues, we still take time to add the hand-stitched details that got us where we are. But now we do it for every Major League Baseball club, the National Basketball Association, National Pro Fastpitch Softball, most major colleges and universities, and, of course, you.
